As a case study, this paper addresses the Novel of the Stranger by Camus. Embedded in Kundera’s reading on the linkage between psychology on novel and psychology, the main question here is that how this novel can be read as what acts against psychology. Psychological novels are framed in a psychological cause i.e. making linkages among those unrelated or discrete events. A plot coherence is not possible without acknowledging such causal relationship. Rather, the novel of the Stranger addresses “ out- of -law”and “ off-topics” issues . Meursault is a stranger as he does not follow up the rhythmic tone of plot. In existentialism era, novel made a fundamental change in its “form” and “content”. As an existentialist philosopher, Camus puts an emphasis on the existing situation/placement rather than analyzing the characters in the novel. Unlike psychology which tries to make a clarity and distinction, Camus tries to talk about ambiguities and irrational reality. A dynamic and flexible rather than monolithic and fixed identity is obvious in his work. Novel in his reading is a domain for unpredictable events. Psychology, rather, attempts to disclose meanings and rational motivations in randomly occurred events. Besides the political function, one consequence of avoiding reducing the concept of novel to psychology in literary criticism is to refer the text into out of context elements like author’s biography.}, keywords = {novel,Psychology,causality,realism,existentialism,Camus,Kundera}, title_fa = {آلبر کامو: رمان علیه واقع گرایی روانشناختی(مطالعه موردی رمان بیگانه)}, abstract_fa = {هدف مقالۀ حاضر فهم رمان در تقابل با واقع‌گراییِ روان‌شناختی است. مطالعۀ موردیِ این پژوهش، رمان بیگانه اثرِ آلبر کامو است: چگونه این اثر، یک رمانِ ضد روان‌شناختی است؟ در این مقاله، دریافت کوندرا از رمان و روان‌شناسی مفروض گرفته شده است. رمان‌های روان‌شناختی بر ضرورت علّیتِ روانی متکی است: پیوند زدنِ امور پراکنده به یکدیگر یا مرتبط ساختنِ امور نامرتبط. انسجامِ پیرنگ بدون پذیرش چنین علیّتی ناممکن است. برعکس، رمان بیگانه بر امور «خارج از موضوع» و «بیرون از قانون» متمرکز است: مورسو بیگانه است چون از نظام آهنین پیرنگ تبعیت نمی‌کند. با ظهور اگزیستانسیالیسم، رمان هم از حیث «شکل» و هم «محتوا» دچار تحول بنیادین شدند. کامو به عنوان فیلسوف اگزیستانسیالیست، بجای تحلیل شخصیت بر تحلیل موقعیت وجودی تأکید می‌کند. آنجا که روانشناسی به دنبالِ وضوح و تمایز است، رمانِ کامو از ابهام و توجیه‌ناپذیریِ واقعیت می‌گوید، در برابرِ پیوستگی از گسست، در برابرِ ثباتِ هویت از سیالیت و تفاوت می‌نویسد. رمان، قلمرو رخدادهای پیشبینی ناپذیر است؛ جایی که به تعبیر کامو «امر بی‌معنا/ پوچ» زندگی را به پیش می‌راند. روان‌شناسی،اما، به دنبال کشف معنا و انگیزه‌های عقلانی در پسِ امورِ تصادفی است. اگر روان‌شناسی مدعی توصیف واقعیت است، کامو هرگونه واقع‌گرایی را ناممکن می‌داند. افزون بر کاکرد سیاسی، یکی از پیامدهای عدمِ تقلیلِ رمان به روان‌شناسی در حوزۀ نقد ادبی، امتناع از ارجاع متن به عناصر برون‌متنی همچون زندگینامۀ مؤلف است. مسأله روشن است: رمان آنچه گفتنش لازم بوده، گفته است. نیازی به دانستنی بیش از آن نیست.}, keywords_fa = {رمان,روان‌شناسی,علیّت,واقع‌گرایی,اگزیستانسیالیسم,کامو,کوندرا}, url = {https://clls.sbu.ac.ir/article_101016.html}, eprint = {https://clls.sbu.ac.ir/article_101016_62397b3d4b2d0997643ca2dcbf844cc8.pdf} }
